Privacy Policy
Last updated: 18 October 2026 · Deutsche Version: Datenschutzerklärung
This policy explains what personal data JCI Europe handles through this website, why, and what your rights are. In short: the website sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser, uses no analytics and has no forms.
1. Controller
The controller of the personal data described here is:
JCI Europe e. V.
Breite Straße 29
10178 Berlin
Germany
Phone: +49 (0)30 20 308 1527
Email: info (at) europe.jci.cc
References to JCI Europe in this policy include its local branches and the Board of Officers. We are committed to the security of your data. If you have any questions, please reach out to us.
2. Legal basis
The legal basis for processing personal data is Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR: processing is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by the controller or by a third party, except where such interests are overridden by the interests or fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject which require protection of personal data, in particular where the data subject is a child.
3. What happens when you visit the website
This website is a set of static pages delivered by Cloudflare, Inc. (Cloudflare Pages). To deliver the pages and to protect the site against misuse, Cloudflare processes technical data about each request, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the date and time. We do not run analytics, we do not build visitor profiles and we do not evaluate this data for marketing.
The fonts, icons and images are served from our own website. Nothing is loaded from other companies when a page opens.
Cloudflare is based in the United States and may process data there. Where this happens, the transfer is covered by the safeguards the law requires, such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
4. Cookies and browser storage
This website sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. That is why there is no cookie banner.
5. Content that loads only after you click
Three kinds of content come from other providers. They are loaded only when you press the button on the page. Until then, no data goes to them.
- YouTube videos. Pages show a preview picture that is stored on our own website. Only when you press play is the video loaded from YouTube in its privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). From that moment Google receives your IP address and may set its own cookies, as described in Google’s privacy policy.
- Google Calendar on the Calendar page. After your click, Google Calendar is loaded from Google, which receives your IP address and may set cookies.
- The JCI Superhero quiz on the Superhero Quiz page. After your click, the quiz is loaded from jci-superhero-quiz.vercel.app, which receives your IP address and the technical data your browser sends.
6. When you write to us
There is no contact form. If you send an e-mail to info (at) europe.jci.cc, we use your message and your contact details (name, e-mail address) only to answer your request. We keep the correspondence only as long as it is needed for this, at most two years, and then delete it.
7. Links to other websites
The website contains links to other websites, for example those of National Organisations or event websites. This policy applies only to our website. If you click a link to another website, you should read its privacy policy.
8. Your data protection rights
Under the GDPR you have the following rights:
- Right to be informed: you have the right to be informed about the collection and use of your personal data.
- Right of access: you have the right to request copies of your personal data.
- Right to rectification: you have the right to request that we correct any information you believe is inaccurate, and to complete information you believe is incomplete.
- Right to erasure: you have the right to request that we erase your personal data, under certain conditions.
- Right to restrict processing: you have the right to request that we restrict the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.
- Right to object to processing: you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.
- Right to data portability: you have the right to request that we transfer the data we have collected to another organisation, or directly to you, under certain conditions.
- Right not to be subject to automated decisions: you have the right not to be subject to a decision that is based solely on automated processing and which significantly affects you.
If you make a request, we will reply without undue delay and within one month of receiving it. To exercise any of these rights, write to info (at) europe.jci.cc.
9. Repeat requests
If requests are unfounded or excessive, in particular repeat requests, we will charge a €6.35 administration fee for each repeat request for the same data. This covers the administration costs of multiple requests, as provided for in Article 15 of the GDPR.
10. Complaints
If you wish to complain or feel that JCI Europe has not addressed your concern satisfactorily, you may contact the competent supervisory authority:
