Join the movement
JCI is a global network of young active citizens aged 18 to 40. As a member you develop your leadership skills by running projects, joining training and meeting people across Europe and the world.
JCI Europe is the area organisation, so you do not sign up with us directly. You join the Local Organisation in your own country, which belongs to the National Organisation there. The steps below show how to find it.

How it works
Three steps to your Local Organisation
Find your country
Open the list of National Organisations and search for your country. Each entry links to the website or social media page of the organisation there.
Get in touch with your organisation
On its website you can find your nearest Local Organisation and how to apply. Local Organisations welcome new members and are the place where you run projects and take part in events.
Not in the list? Let us know
If your country is not in the list, contact us. The JCI European Development Council actively works to establish JCI in countries where it is not present yet.
Lead for a year
All JCI leaders are elected for one year only, so there is always a role waiting for the next person.
Learn by doing
Academies, mentoring and skills training help you build the skills to lead a team and a project.
Meet Europe
The European Conference, the Know-How Transfer and the World Congress connect you with members from many countries.
Questions
Who can join JCI?
JCI is for young people aged 18 to 40 who want to become better leaders and take action for positive change.
Do I join JCI Europe directly?
No. JCI Europe is the area representative of JCI. Members join Local Organisations and take part in national and international activities. Use the list of National Organisations to find yours.
Who is my first contact on the European board?
Every country has a Vice President assigned to it. You can see which one on the National Organisations page, and read about all of them on the Board of Directors page.
My country has no JCI. What can I do?
Write to us. The JCI European Development Council supports people who want to start a National Organisation and funds the first Local Organisations through the New Local Organizations grant.
